YUNJI was invited to participate in the 10th Global Mobile Broadband Forum (MBBF) which was successfully held on October 15-16, 2019 in Switzerland-Zurich. As a Huawei eco-partner, after the 2019 Fully Connected Conference, YUNJI was invited to MBBF again and appeared at Huawei’s booth.
During the event, YUNJI exhibited two commercial service robots “RUN“, which demonstrated the functions of cruise and promotions, and fixed-point delivery for the guests. Its smooth walking ability and accurate obstacle avoidance function won the praise of the guests and the media. At present, the commercial service robot “RUN” is mainly used in hotels, office buildings, hospitals and other scenes, and has realized more than 1,000 units of real applications.

About 5G Technology and Robots
In an interview at Huawei’s site, the relevant person in charge of YUNJI said, “5G’s low latency, high speed, and wide connectivity can expand the boundaries of robots’ activities and provide them with more powerful arithmetic power, giving them the ability to provide humans with smarter, more accurate, and more efficient services. In hotels, ‘RUN’ can solve the repetitive and single labor force and reduce costs and increase efficiency for hotels. Once 5G is generalized to hotels, ‘RUN’ will further enhance the operational efficiency of hotels and bring more service value to hotels.”
In a 5G environment, robots will be more stable and secure, while being endowed with improved interaction capabilities. By calculating and triaging tasks, robots can make full use of the big data and computing power of the cloud to more accurately recognize the surrounding environment, providing unlimited possibilities for commercial services.
Huawei booth
Back in May 2019, Huawei and YUNJI jointly launched 5G robots at the L+Mall shopping center in Lujiazui, Shanghai, where they demonstrated the intelligent applications of robots equipped with 5G technology in leading, pointing out directions, asking questions, and game interactions, which gained widespread attention in the industry. As people’s consumption level continues to rise, artificial intelligence will be more applied and popularized, and as a service terminal, robots are also regarded as the best carrier to carry 5G technology.
In the future, it is believed that 5G technology will greatly accelerate the application and development of digitalization scenarios, providing more convenience and possibilities for the use of artificial intelligence in many scenarios.
Since its establishment, YUNJI has always been committed to becoming the world’s leading robots service platform, and will also work hand in hand with Huawei on the road to promoting the development of 5G technology.
