Ascott Hotel Group Signs Framework Agreement with YUNJI for Commercial Service Robot Project

In September 2017, the first YUNJI hotel service robot “RUN” officially entered the Ascott Raffles City service apartment in Beijing under the Ascott Group, and was affectionately called “Xiaoya”. As a robot butler, Xiao Ya is responsible for concierge service, introduction and promotion, elevator call, safety inspection, delivery, leading visitors, interdepartmental collaboration, and off-site pickup. The hardworking “Xiaoya” has been working diligently and conscientiously since she was appointed to Ascott Hotel, and her ability to work has been recognized by Ascott Hotel Group. In April 2018, Ascott Hotel Group and YUNJI officially signed a framework agreement for the “Commercial Service Robot” project, aiming to jointly establish the standards and specifications for the application of robots in the hotel industry, and to bring more intelligent experiences to the hotel industry.

In September 2018, less than half a year from the signing of the strategic agreement, Ascott Group has already laid out its hotel robot business in Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen and Chengdu one after another, with good application results. The smooth progress of the strategic cooperation also makes the cooperation between Ascott Group and YUNJI closer, and the cooperation between the two sides has entered the substantive stage of landing and promotion.
